| Royal Beach Resort Description |
| Royal Beach is a welcome addition to the west coast's limited selection of small and personal beach hotels. The hotel has a prime position on Induruwa beach, a mile or so south of the larger family-orientated resort of Bentota. Life remains quieter here, with a broad sweep of sandy coastline, and gently-shelving waters offering an excellent spot for a tranquil, hassle-free beach holiday.

Swimming pool, restaurant with small bar area, room service, relaxing areas with sofas and cane chairs, reading area, rustic beach bar, sun-loungers with shades. Bedrooms possess a/c (most also have ceiling fans), tiled floors, satellite TV (although channels are somewhat limited) and IDD phones; cheerfully-tiled bathrooms have bath and shower. For the 2004/5 winter season, Royal Beach was further enhanced by a rooftop area with sweeping coastal views which serves by day as a herbal and massage centre and by night as an outdoor bar-cum-eating area, with Mohammad already planning a programme of ``tasteful'' live music.

Fifteen bedrooms, over three floors, are large and intelligently furnished, the corridors are high and stately and sweeping wooden staircases lead down to an airy restaurant, with small bar area, on the ground floor. Excellent value for those wanting to escape package-mania.
